Finally Christmas!

Sorry it took so long to put our Christmas pictures up but it's been hectic! We had a lot of people on vacation at work so I got the brunt and had to pick up the slack. So I've been busy and if I haven't been busy, I've been TIRED! Anyway, here's our Christmas!

Again, I have to apologize for the number of pictures I'm putting up. But I'm so bad at only picking a few. Christmas started on Christmas Eve. We had Josh's parents over for dinner and to exchange gifts. We got Megan a stroller and I think the excitement got to Josh and he wanted to give her something so it was the stroller that wasn't going to get wrapped anyway. She loved it right away. She pushed her puppy around in it all night. She was very proud of herself.

Christmas morning started around 8:00 so it wasn't as early as it will probably be in the years to come. As kids Santa always seemed to leave one present for us unwrapped so that when we got up on Christmas morning we would see it right away and be excited. It's a tradition that I hoped to continue with Megan. So Christmas morning we had Megan walk out into the family room and see all of her presents and yes there was one present unwrapped for her! It was pretty cute.
Her first quad!

She knew exactly what to do and climbed right on. The battery had to charge for awhile so she didn't actually know that it moved until later in the day. But she still thought it was pretty neat!
She decided she would open her stocking from her quad.
This Dog book turned out to be a great hit. She loves all things furry especially puppies! She flips through the book all the time.
Trendy baby with her very first cell phone. Since she always wants the real ones we decided to get her one of her own. I wasn't sure if she'd like it because it doesn't have pictures of her on it but it still talks and beeps so she's content.
Hello?

And of course the doggies get presents. Sampson knew right away that that stocking was for them.

Freestyling already!

After we opened all of our presents as a family and had breakfast, we put Megan down for her nap and then went to Grandma and Grandpa's house. It was there that Megan found out what the quad REALLY does. It took of bit of practice but she figured out the button and that it makes it move. Now if we could just get a hang of steering!
Megan got a baby from Aunt Tami and she loved it right away giving it kisses!
Hurry up Grandpa! Take it out!
Loving the baby!
Along with the quad, we brought her new stroller and she knew right away what to do with the baby. Amazing!
We thought we had opened our last presents and then Grandpa brought down one more for Megan, her own rocking horse!! She loved it! It makes a neighing sound too.
Aunt Tami and Megan
Our wonderful family!
We had a great Christmas and I know it will only get better from here!

We got our Christmas tree!

We got our Christmas tree this weekend! I'm so glad we waited because it was beautiful this weekend and blustery/rainy last weekend! We bundled Megan up in her little Snow Baby outfit and set out. She couldn't move real well, can you tell but I guarantee she was warmer than me and Josh!

We went to B & K Farms in Gales Creek, $10 for a Douglas Fir!!!! Can't beat it. So we got a great tree and watched Daddy cut it down.

I've fallen and I can't get up!

Megan's First Christmas Party!

Aunt Kathy and Lesly invited Megan and me to a Christmas party at St. Vincents (where she works). They had a little magic show, all sorts of characters walking around and crafts to do. Megan doesn't know what to think of Santa except, "Get me as far away from him as possible." Yet for some reason she LOVES freaky character costumes, i.e. Chuck E. Cheese and this Rudolph!! I think she would have gone home with him if she could.

When did face painting start requiring art degrees? When I used to get mine painted it was like stick figures. Now they are all 3-D and textured. We got screwed. :)

"Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer, had a very shiny nose...." Megan clapped and smiled along with Lesly and her friends as they sang.

Just can't stop looking at him!

"Oh Rudolph!"

Our red-nosed baby. 1 year old version of face painting.

Lesly with Rudolph

Again, Megan loving on Rudolph.

Hi Lesly!

Cute cousins!

Megan wouldn't go near Santa (we tried at the mall) so I thought Mrs. Claus woud suffice. She lived through it although she didn't really want to.
