First Horsey Ride

Since the Rose Festival is here, I thought it would be fun to take Megan down to the waterfront to see if there were any rides that she could go on. Unfortunately she's just not tall enough! She was able to go on her very first horsey ride AND eat her very first elephant ear though. I told her how lucky she is to have us as parents! I just looked at Danielle's blog and saw that Oaks Park must be the place to take her. We'll need to put it on the agenda!
At first she wasn't sure about getting on the horse but once it started moving, she was having a lot of fun. She probably would have stayed on him all day long.

Grandma Schwartz' 90th Birthday Party

A suprise party was planned for Grandma Schwartz at her church on Sunday after their service. There were a lot of people there who know and love her.
She said, "I've waited a long time for this!"
Here is Grandpa Van with two of his granddaughters.
More of the family, yet Rylan is missing somehow.
This is Grandma Schwartz' first great-great Grandchild, Bretton. And of course Megan had to love on him the whole time we were there!
Karen, Isabeau, Rylan and Ron all sang for Grandma.

Yummy! Everyone wanted to be Megan's friend and what better way than to share their cake with her. She had A LOT of cake!

Family Reunion

I had to work Saturday night so these are the only pictures I managed to get.
Hunter is:
a) Not happy about sharing his wagon.
b) Not thrilled about getting his picture taken
c) All of the above
Grandma Schwartz has 3 kids, 9 grandkids, 10 great-grandkids and 1 great-great grandkid!
(Not all pictured)

Planting with Daddy

Josh's Grandma turned 90 last week so the weekend was pretty much all about her. On Saturday we had a Family Reunion/Birthday Party for her (pics on that to come). We thought she would like a flower pot that Megan made "all by herself". We made one for my mom for Mother's Day and she loved it so we thought we'd try it again.

Smile Big

This is Megan's interpretation of "Smile Big!"

New Sink!

Our sink and faucet had seen better days, mostly the faucet. We decided to do it right and upgrade. We upgrade here and there so it won't be such a huge hit later on. Looks nice huh?

New Bathing Suit

Megan needed a new swimsuit. Her 2T one was getting a big snug! Blame it on mommy for being too lazy to air dry it! Hopefully this 4T will last through the summer!

Megan-in-the-Box

We were cooking breakfast in bed for Daddy and when I turned around, Megan had found a distraction. She seemed to fit perfectly in it. And of course, she's pretty cute!

Hi Mommy!

Fish Tank For Sale $50

This is a 12 gallon tank. Josh recently upgraded to a 30 gallon tank so we aren't in need of this one anymore! Let me know if you're interested.

First Slurpee!

While Josh was in Arkansas, Megan probably got more treats than she needed. Mostly because Mommy was trying to drown her loneliness - and what better way to do it than sweets? Yeah, yeah, I know I don't to start any bad habits. But how bad could a slurpee be? I think she got brain freeze cause she only had about 1/4 of it.

Picking Up Daddy

So, these pictures aren't that flattering but they show her shirt that she wore. I had it made online for pretty cheap. Everyone at the airport thought it was cute. I wanted to get their first glimpse of eachother on video but all I really got was the back of her waddling/running up to him for about 10 seconds. I'd put it on here but it's on old school video tape. Anyway, it was precious. She saw him and ran immediately - no hesitation. And Daddy brought a soldier bear back to her from Arkansas with her name on it and everything. I feel like I can't get enough of him now. I don't want him to go anywhere with out me/us!!

I suprised him when he got home with babysitters for Megan and an appointment for a couples massage. I got a GC for Christmas from Kathy and I got him one too at Massage Envy. For the price, we got a great massage! Thanks Kathy! And thanks Grandma and Grandpa for watching Megan for us!

Mother's Day

For Mother's Day we went to my parent's house. Kelly and Jon came into town on Friday so we were basically over there all weekend. Tami made a really great dinner for everyone on Sunday. As most of you all know, Megan's flirty-ness has started to run rampant. She could not get enough of Jon. This picture below shows her positioning herself just perfect so that she could see him sitting on the stairs. She was all about Jon!

Megan in her pretty dress having her first recital. Not really.
Asking Mommy to play Twinkle Twinkle again.
Grandma and Granddaughter
and of course, Mommy and Megan!

While Daddy's away.....

I've been racking my brain on ways to entertain Megan while Josh is gone. It's not as easy to keep her home all day when he doesn't come home after work to help out! We had a busy day on Saturday. First we went to the World's Largest Yard Sale at the Washington County Fairgrounds. Nothing real exciting there except they did have a little 'petting zoo' a.k.a. goats inside field fencing. After that we went to the Hillsboro Farmer's Market. I started going last year and love it! They have all sorts of arts. crafts, food, plants, fresh fruit and veggies and lots of flowers. It's fun to be outside and walk around. Then we went to Coastal Farm and Ranch where for a few hours they were doing a kids planting event. Megan got to plant her own flowers in a pot and she gave them to Grandma for Mother's Day. Pretty cute. And this was all before noon.
Here are the pictures of the petting zoo. Megan loves all things furry.

Gabriel Patrick Lahr

I'm a little late in welcoming the newest baby to the world. Gabriel Patrick Lahr was born on May 1st. He's as healthy as can be and everyone is doing well.
Jaxon is being a good big brother!

We Miss Daddy!

Josh is in Arkansas for 2 weeks! He left last Sunday and will be back next Saturday. I think Megan has really been thrown off by his absence. Plus we've had to stay at my parents for a couple of days so that while I worked they could watch her. Thank goodness for Grandparents! I think they even got to see a bit of her 'not so cute' side, but I don't know if they'd admit it!

Such a big girl!

Megan LOVES to brush her teeth. She has a new giggle when she gets really excited and she does it every time I ask her if she wants to brush her teeth. Now when it's time to stop brushing her teeth, it's not such a joyful experience! You know her famous scream? Yeah usually right in my eardrum. She's getting better about it now. I have to do a 10-9-8.....countdown.
