Ice Cream on Snow Day

Grandpa gave her quite a big helping!
Back away from the ice cream!

And her cheesy tilted smile that she's so good at these days.

Snow Day

It was snowing just a bit when we got up but it quickly turned to a lot. Kelly text me and asked if they could come get us. With the condition that they could bring us back the same night (gotta take care of the dogs) - we said yes. So Grandma, Grandpa, Kelly, Tami and Devin all piled into Tami's car and drove out to our house to get us. We went to Red Robin for lunch and then out to Tualatin. We had been telling Megan that she could play in the snow so as soon as we got out of the car we let her loose. She thought it was pretty neat. She only had some warm mittens, not water proof mittens so I knew it was going to be short lived. Grandpa made a sled out of a slightly used garbage can lid and pulled her around on the yard. One 'too quick' of a turn rolled her off the sled and she didn't like that so much. She was pretty much done by then because she realized how cold the snow really was. The wind was blowing so it made it extra cold for the specators too! When we got her in the house, she was treated to hot chocolate and a cookie!

Happy Birthday "Elly"!

Tami hosted a birthday party for Kelly on Friday night. I'm not sure who but someone decided that it would be "fun" to dress up. So there's your answer as to why we're all so beautiful. :) While it was Kelly's party, of course most of the pictures were of Megan. She is such a ham.

Mystery Bear

This bear came to us in the mail today but it didn't say from who. Who sent it!?!?!?

Happy Birthday Jace!

It's so hard to believe that all of our babies are turing 2. This time it was Jace's turn. He had a great Elmo themed party with lots of cute decorations and party favors. Even though he wasn't feeling very good, he was a trooper and all of his little friends had fun. Happy Birthday!
This picture is for Daddy. Megan really liked the toolbench.
2 year old version of gingerbread houses.

Look What I Can Do!

Megan is climbing, jumping, standing up and onto anything she can these days. She's recently figured out she's tall enough to reach light switches, with some help. She can now reach her light switch in her room from her crib. I took her giant pooh bear out of her crib. It was giving her an extra "boost".
She's pretty proud of herself.

Decorating the Tree

Megan had fun helping decorate the Christmas tree. Now the task is to keep her from un-decorating it. So far she's been pretty good about it.

Santa Pic 2008

We've been building up Santa for about 3 days trying to encourage Megan to sit on his lap when we finally got around to it. She seemed really excited....until it came to sitting on his lap. She stiffened the minute I walked closer to him. She wouldn't sit on his lap, so this was the best we could get. We told her to say cheese so she gave her best effort but it looked more like she was in pain so we didn't pick that picture. This somber, terrified Megan face is the best that we had to choose from!
So again...............maybe next year.

Christmas Tree Time

We don't usually get our tree this early, mostly because it seems to be so brittle by the time Christmas finally comes around that it's not worth it. Josh has to go out of town for a couple of weeks though so this was our last weekend to do it AND get some enjoyment out of it before we had to take it down. If anyone is interested, we get our trees at B & K Farm out in Gales Creek. $10 for Doug Firs any size! They are friends of Josh so we get to support them AND get a cheap tree!
Daddy was sweet to let Megan "help" cut the tree.

Meeting Oliver

We were finally able to get together with Holly, Ryan and Oliver. It's the first time that I've even seen Oliver and he just had his first birthday. I really wish we could get up to Seattle more often to see them.
Here is Megan trying to help Oliver with his sippy cup.
He is such a cutie!
Going in for one of many hugs....Oliver ready to block.
Megan:
"Okay if you won't let me hug you, I'll kiss your hand!"
Oliver:
"Mom, help Mom!"

Another attempt to give love. I guess he wasn't focusing on her during their date. Watching the game no doubt. Saying goodbye with a hug........and a kiss.
