Santa's Visit

Between Christmas Eve and Christmas day, we took 161 pictures! Here are some of the best - hard to choose!
We had to wake Megan up on Christmas morning! She woke up around 11p.m. the night before and said, "Santa?" I had to tell her that he hadn't come yet and she needed to go back to sleep....and she did. We woke her up around 9:00 so we could get to the excitement!
Santa took a bite out of the cookie and drank the milk that Megan left. She kept pointing at it and saying, "Santa?"

Couldn't let a good cookie go to waste!

Santa left candy canes on the tree and she was sure to find them and point them out.

Megan's loot from Santa.

Mickey Mouse plate, bowl and big girl cup!.....

......a Magna Doodle...

I think this was a hug for Santa. At one point she pointed at the door and said, "Thank you!" She must still think that Santa comes in through the door!

So excited!!

A candy cane from her stocking...

...tootsie rolls...

...what else??

Megan got an art easel with a chalkboard, whiteboard and drawing paper. Here she is tracing her hand!

Showing off her Elmo slippers.

Cookie and Milk

On Christmas Eve, Megan put out a cookie and milk for Santa. After talking about it for awhile, she started getting a little freaked out about the reality that Santa would be coming to her house. We had to explain to her that she was not even going to see him and that he was just going to leave her presents while she was sleeping. She definitely was thinking twice about leaving a cookie for Santa and not taking some bites of it for herself!

Snow Day....again!

We woke up this morning with about 4 inches of snow. Part of that was left over, but not much and it's been coming down all day long. We were hoping to build a snowman with Megan but it's way too powdery. She had a lot of fun anyway. I'm sure we'll be going out again for more after her nap. Sure is nice to have her snowsuit! She stayed toasty warm!

Cutest Snow Bunny I've Ever Seen!

Megan got some early Christmas presents from Grandma and Grandpa Darling. When daddy got home, we let Megan open them. First, she got a portable DVD player for the car!!!! Honestly, this is probably more of a gift for mom and dad than Megan but whatever works!! I'm sure everyone is well aware of how pleasant Megan is in the car whether it be for 10 or 100 minutes. At least she now has something to entertain her and provide some sanity up in the front seat. Then......as if that wasn't MORE than enough, a box from the Gap arrived!
New sunglasses for the snow glare!
Strike a pose! Vogue.
A brand new winter coat that couldn't have come at a better time! It has a removable hood with furry trim and even has a powder liner. This is her modeling her new coat and just so happens, she's also wearing her birthday jeans from Gma and Gpa Darling too!
She also got a matching pair of bibs AND this cute turtleneck sweater. Now, if that doesn't make her the cutest snow bunny, I don't know what would!! Of course she has her tilted head smile to top it all off. What a ham.
We decided to try out the DVD player on our trip to Costco. Does this look say it all or what!?!

Thank you so much!!!!

Welcome Home Daddy!

After 2 long weeks, Josh finally came home! He was in training for the Army if you didn't know. Megan went down for her nap before he got home but I told her that when she woke up that Daddy would come and get her. So when she woke up, I had him go get her. She was so excited, she started jumping up and down in her crib and then it was hugs and kisses time.

While he was gone, of course life went on, I still had work and school and then came the snowstorm. Thank you so much to Grandma and Grandpa Wyland for coming to get us and for all the babysitting while I was at school and work!!
