It all seems to be a blur to me at this point but I have a lot of pictures from June to share. Joshua started walking his way around the house with his little walker/riding toy that we got him. He thought he was a pretty big boy and still does! He also started getting into EVERYTHING including drawers, cupboards, shelves, anything he can get his little grubby hands on. And the taller he gets, the more discovery there is! These pictures will jump around a bit, some are from the camera and some are from my cell phone. And the trouble I have with blogger isn't worth it to me!
We got a new addition to the family in June in a Boxer named Autzen. He is everything in a dog that we want and everything in a dog that we don't want. We're still working out the details on that....however Megan loves him and he is really good with her. He lets her cuddle with him, as you see here on one of his very first nights in our house. She passed out right on him. You'll see his actual face in an upcoming picture!
Big boy Mister! Always with a binky attached.
Playing in the fountain on one of the few (at the time) summer days we actually got in June. This may have been the first time Megan actually played in the water. She usually chicken out because it's so cold but maybe since she's bigger now she can handle it. She had a blast and brother was just stuck watching from his stroller.
Megan had her promotion ceremony on June 30. Her teacher Liz did it a bit different this year and it was really nice. Each child had some type of performance all to their own and Megan wasted no time in stealing the show! She also got the 'Student of the Year' award! She will miss kindergarten just by a couple of months this year but by the time she does get there, her teacher says she will most likely already be reading and well ahead of the curve.
I ran in my first 5K race on June 4. I reached my goal and it was great. Josh, Devin and I also ran in the Twilight Run 5K in Tigard on the 24th. It was fu to do it with them, even though we only saw eachother at the start and finish lines. It was great to see Megan at the finish line giving us high fives when we were done too. It is probably my favorite part!
After my 5K on the 4th I raced to Keizer to watch Sherwood compete in the 5A State Baseball Championships and they WON! The not only brought home the State football trophy but they got baseball as well! It was a long time coming for the coaches there who are both good friends of mine. This is Jake who I started babysitting when he was only a few months old. He is now 18 and playing football and possibly baseball this year as a Freshman at Pacific University. Isn't he a cutie and Megan has another major crush.....
Taking a walk around town, Joshua just kicks back! Being able to walk to run errands is one of my only reasons that I like living in town.
I think this is at Joshua's 9 month check up where he was actually closer to 10 months. I just thought this little gown was too cute!
My little canteloupe beggars. They could each eat half a melon if I let them.
Sister torturing brother. I think it was more torture for Daddy to see this picture though.
Passed out after another walk around town!
Father's Day brought a Traeger grill into our house and it may as well have been a Mother's Day gift as well because I have cooked 75% less than I did before it was here. LOVE IT!
Here's Autzen in all of his Boxer glory. He's a beautiful, stubborn addition to our family. Maybe he fits in better than we thought.....
