Out of This World Pizza

Josh's cousin Jeff heard about this new place in Hillsboro so we all met up there on Sunday. It was pretty cool, lots of room for the kids to run around and play and they serve pizza to eat. They let the parents help the little ones on the bigger toys so that's nice - they aren't limited to the toddler area.

Loves Her Swing!

When the weather started taking a turn for the better (the first time), I started taking Megan to a local park. She loved it and really loved the swing. We inherited a swing in our home purchase so we went to Home Depot and got a baby seat attachment. Now, she points outside constantly wanting to go outside and swing. She loves to be outside just like her daddy.

Front Yard

So, we've been racking our brains as to how to salvage/change our front yard. It may have looked great when it was originally planted but it wasn't planned very well. Lots of crowding and overgrowth and lot of ground cover that ended up looking like weeds. So...we ripped it out! Lots of stuff - gone! If anyone needs a non blooming rhodedendron that took no effort to pull out, it's sitting by the side of our garage. It looks so much better now. Much cleaner and manageable. We're going to replant but we're trying to figure out what. Also, WE BOUGHT A ROCK! That's right, I said it. BOUGHT a rock. Growing up, we had more rocks than we knew what to do with, in fact, for a while we were sent out to 'pick rocks'. Good times. Well, I thought a boulder would be a nice addition to the yard and so we went and picked one out. 858 lbs later - we had a rock. Nice timing with the tractor too and Josh was able to place it perfectly sparing my far too few tulips that are just starting to bloom. He did a great job. Of course when we saw the shape of the rock, we knew Megan would love to make it a seat as she does anything little and low enough.

The mailman just left and she had to blow him a kiss goodbye.
Sniffing our far too many daffodils.By these pictures, you may have thought we got ourselves some cats. No, we didn't.

On the Tractor with Daddy!

Last weekend we got a lot done in the yard. Josh rented a tractor and leveled out the RV parking area of our backyard. We're going to lay gravel and then plant something, probably bamboo to keep it a little hidden. Contrary to our neighbors beliefs, we don't necessary like seeing cars, etc. parked in the yard. Anyhoo.....Josh used the dirt to fill in the raised bed that we made last summer and now we just have to get it ready for planting. It looks really good though. We also did a lot of work on the front yard but I'll talk about that in the next post.

Here is Megan on a ride with Daddy. He was a little shocked when she started moving the tractor more than he was prepared for. She had a great time! Daddy's little girl - definitely!

The Park with Grandma and Grandpa

Josh was out of town for a few days so we spent a lot of time in Tualatin. One day we decided to go to the park and ended up at both the Tualatin Park and Jurgens Park. She had a really good time and walked all around the ball field at Jurgens Park.

First Eggs And Toast

I think this is a Wyland family recipe or maybe a Minnesota recipe, I don't know - but I grew up eating it for breakfast and sometimes dinner. Yummy!

I really want to take a nap.....

But some 'anonymous' commenter gave me a hard time about not posting. At least, I think that's what they meant. Anyway.....I better get started!
