Go Ducks Lacrosse!

Will she or will she not be a Duck?
She looked pretty cute dressed up like one that is for sure. I'm not sure she could be a cute Beaver. That aside, she had a great time rooting on...of all people....Jon! He played lacrosse at Sunset High School today against OSU and won by quite a large margin. When she was finally able to see him on the sidelines after the game, all she wanted was, "Up?"

I love this picture with her little bows and long eyelashes.
And then of course her cheesy grin.
Finally she gets to see Jon!
Trying to climb the fence to get to him....
I guess I have awhile to get to know the rules of the game. I'm still quite confused but she might just want to follow in Jon's footsteps.

Happy Birthday Jon!!!

Here's Megan singing Happy Birthday to her crush Jon!

Easter Dinner

This Easter was extra special because Glen, Kathy and Lesly joined us over at my family's house. Megan definitely had fun with Lesly there and it turned into a game of chase with them and Jon and Devin were also good sports to chase them around too. Josh and I enjoyed our break! Of course Megan was all over Jon from the minute we got there. The night before, she was torn between excitement for the Easter Bunny to come and see Jon!
Josh and Kathy
Jon's birthday is actually today so we sang him an early Happy Birthday which of course always excites Megan.
Helping blow out the candles. You can see Stacy on Skype behind him!
Enjoying the Happy Birthday cake!
The cute couple!

Visiting the Horses

Megan got to visit the horses again when Lesly had lessons on Easter day. She loves them so much and really has no fear. She wanted to pet, feed and brush them. I think we will get her into lessons when she is a little older and a little more in control of her temper. I don't want her to have a meltdown in front of the horses if she isn't getting her way about something.

Easter Morning

You have to agree that our kid is pretty cute when the first thing she says when she sees her Easter basket is, "Thank you bunny!" Megan got an Elmo Easter basket that she thinks is pretty cool and lots of sweet treats!

Coloring Easter Eggs

We finally pulled out the Easter Egg colors last night and let Megan go to town. It seems like yesterday that we were doing it with her last year. I can't believe how much she's changed. She had a great time and her hands are still blue!

Yeah! She kept saying, "Good job, Megan!"

Josh sticks his tongue out when he's concentrating. I think this might be her concentration face!

If you ask Megan to smile, she does her cheesy face. If you ask her to smile "pretty" she tilts her head to the left WITH her cheesy face.

This was when I was telling Josh that we should just continue dyeing her legs so that she wouldn't have to wear tights to Easter dinner. So she thought she would help by sticking her foot in.

Easter Egg Hunt at the Zoo!

On average, I think I'm more annoyed with this Blogger site than it's worth but I still come back for more. Hopefully everyone else finds my headache worth it too. I read a post by a fellow blogger a few days ago about not being able to post pictures in order, it has always been an annoying task for me but I've done it (they don't post in the order that you download). Anyway, now it's not letting me move the pictures around at all. That said, please scroll down until you get to the BEGINNING of our day with the mountain goat! Then you can come back up for the rest of the pictures. So annoying!
We raced to get onto the train in time. It was so fun so see Megan's face as it started to go and watch her wave at all of the people walking by. Her little happy face is the best in the world.

Sorry, my face is not made for the "self portrait".
She's a pretty cute girl. She was so excited for the train to start.

Polar Bears! It made me sad to see the one bear doing this over and over again. Does that mean he's sad?

Stop here for more bunny pictures! She wanted to show the bunny her Easter loot. She was so proud!! She kept saying, "Bunny! See! See!"

Hunting for treats!

StArT HeRe!
Yesterday was a rough day for Megan and me. The interesting thing is, I only saw her for about an hour and a half. I picked her up from being with Tami over night and then had to go to work. Whenever she comes home from a fun filled event like that, she brings major attitude. Before long both of us were crying. And at only 2 years old, she recognizes when I'm sad and she cries for me. While I was having my meltdown, I was actually thinking, if I knew it would be this hard, would I do it all over again? Not for a minute would I change our lives now but wow, it is way harder than I ever imagined. Then I thought, if it's hard now, will it get easier? Then I remembered myself as a teenager and realized that we are REALLY going to be in for it. For a REALLY long time.
I was really looking for a way to redeem myself with Megan today and so as Plan B, we were headed to the Portland Farmers Market for some outdoor time. I love those markets and can't wait each year for the Hillsboro market to open. I was also looking for an Easter Egg Hunt and saw that the zoo was having lots of them today. I didn't think there would be a chance for us to get there without a backup on Hwy. 26 so I didn't tell Megan that was my Plan A, just in case it fell through. Well, there was no backup and I was able to find a parking space pretty quickly even though it was packed. As soon as we got to the parking lot Megan said, "ZOO?? Yeah!!!!" She knows that place just from the parking lot and she also knows that if she looks on the other side, she will see the Bob the Builder banner at the Children's Museum. So that is the introduction to our very fun filled and well behaved day!
Another Easter Bunny for Megan to love and hug. She is so excited for him to visit her tonight. Hopefully we'll be able to get her to go to bed!

Okay........go back up to the top!!
