Stacy suggested that I start a blog to track our pregnancy, so here it is with a little backlog to catch everyone up......

6 Weeks Pregnant
We found out on February 22, 2006 that we were going to be parents. It seemed pretty unreal at first. It became much more real when the morning sickness kicked in about a week later.

12 Weeks Pregnant
We had our first appointment with Dr. Klotz today. Josh got to hear the heartbeat for the first time. I actually had heard it at an earlier appointment when Josh was out of town. That was pretty neat for both of us. My sickness has finally gone away and I'm much more capable of enjoying the idea of being a mom.

16 Weeks Pregnant
Our second appointment went well. He did all the normal stuff, just checking the heartbeat and my measurements. Everything looks like it is going well. In the last couple of weeks Josh and I have done a lot of browsing for baby gear and have started to pick out names. No luck yet!

18 Weeks Pregnant
We had our ultrasound today and IT'S A GIRL! We are so excited. The ultrasound took about 45 minutes and he was very thorough in checking everything. We were told that our insurance might not cover the cost but afterwards we told eachother that it was definitely worth it because it gives you such peace of mind knowing everything is okay. He measured all sorts of places on her body and said that everything looks fine. We got some great pictures that I will scan as soon as I have a chance. She was moving all around the whole time too. I couldn't feel it but I know it's just around the corner. It is definitely much more real now!

19 Weeks Pregnant
I can definitely feel her moving inside now! She keeps me up at night. I already want to tell her to settle down but I can't!

20 Weeks Pregnant
I had another doctor visit today. Very short and sweet. He says I'm measuring perfectly and her heartbeat is strong.
