Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

Megan has been so excited for her birthday party.  She's been singing Happy Birthday to herself for weeks now.  She's been looking forward to her "party with my friends".  Which of course I think is adorable. Part of the deal was that she would get to help make cupcakes.  She decorated them all by herself.  And don't worry, the frosting all over her face is from a practice cupcake!

Here's Megan all dressed and ready to go in her leotard and tights for her gymnastics party. She was SO adorable!  She had to get a little volleyball in before her party though.

....and a little twirling.

Finally at the Gym-Nest waiting for her friends to arrive.

Getting all warmed up

Precious little gymnast

Greeting her guests as they arrive.

She figured out the springy floor pretty quickly.

Teacher Sarah had them pick out their own carpet square to sit on while they were listening to instructions.  They did really well listening.

This is their first game of freeze.  They got to run around and then when the music stopped they had to freeze.  It was so cute to watch all of their faces as they froze and what positions they would get into.

All lined up on their carpet squares waiting for teacher Sarah to get the next activity together....

Parachute time with the balls!

They got to play on a little obstacle course.

Before the trampoline time, they got to practice different jumping moves.

They waited patiently by the trampoline for their turns.

A rope swing on the obstacle course.

Following in a line with teacher Sarah.  Can you just see them all at the Olympics marching to the next apparatus?  So cute!

Finally Happy Birthday time!  She was so excited!

These are about the 3rd set of birthday candles she's blown out in the last couple of months.  She doesn't realize she's not supposed to blow everyone else's out too.

Gotta get every last bit of the frosting off of the picks......and then on to the cupcake!

Presents!

Before we left, Lesly told Megan she had one more present outside for her and this is what she found!  Lesly and Megan's Great Grandma Schwartz bought this Jeep for Lesly when she was much littler.  They decided that when Megan was old enough, they would pass it down to her.  It is so nice of them and of course Megan AND her friends loved it!

This might be of preview of what is to come when they turn 16....

Taking her friend Natalie for a spin.

After the party it was dinner time so we told everyone we were going to go to Red Robin for dinner if anyone wanted to join us.  Megan got a birthday song and sundae.  All of the kids, including Megan were so beat by this point but they were all really well behaved all day.  It was pretty amazing!

There wasn't a whole lot of time for us to do much more than gymnastics at the gym so we opened gifts from my family at our house after dinner.  Again, Megan was so very tired but she was so excited to see even more presents and she got so much cool stuff.

Aunt Tami put together a dress-up box for Megan.  I'm not sure how many costumes were in there but there are lots of outfits and accessories to keep her AND her friends busy.

She also got a doctor kit, tons of clothes, stamps/art supplies, tea sets, pianos, baseball tee set and lots of Elmo stuff. She is one loved and lucky little girl! Her party was so much fun, I think it was even more fun than last year! I think the parents enjoyed watching the kids as much as the kids enjoyed the gymnastics. It was so precious to watch them all running and giggling and see how much they are all growing up and being able to listen to directions and play together. The last 3 years have gone so fast. And as usual, I have to post a picture of our little baby Megan when she first came into our lives. Precious angel.

Thanks to everyone who came to celebrat with us.  We are very blessed to have friends and family like you!
