The Big Catch Up

I've been waiting to blog until I could scan in the newborn pictures we had taken back in August. Unfortunately I have zero computer skill and since we went to our laptop only, everytime I try to plug in our printer/scanner, I can't get it to work. I thought I had finally figured it out but apparently not. I guess a wireless printer is in our future, but not near future. So, minus Joshua's newborn pictures, I do have those that we've taken around the house. He is not getting nearly the camera time that Megan got so there isn't really anything exciting. But at least here is an update on our big boy and all other stuff in between! He will go in for his 8 week check up this week so I will post all of his stats then!

Joshua at 8 days old

 9 Days Old

 14 Day Old Feet
While Josh was home on leave he also refloored our bathroom.  It was a major eyesore and I decided it would probably be the cheapest way to update the bathroom.  Unfortunately the old cabinetry is going to stay for awhile but the flooring made a major improvement!

Megan's preschool was taking part in a parade in the town of Banks and she got to ride on the float.  She thought it was great and had a blast being able to throw candy and waving at everyone.  This is when she finally saw us at the end of the parade route.

Joshua got a new blanket from Nome, Alaska and this is brother and sister showing their thanks and how big/small they are!  Megan looks like she could be going to elementary school!
Grandpa and Grandma T came to visit when Joshua was about 3 weeks old.  It was really nice to see them and spend time together.  Megan got to go swimming at their hotel so her whole life was made just from that.  We went to the park one day and Megan ran Teresa all over....literally!  She is so nice to do pretty much everything Megan asks of her!
A little over 3 weeks old, Joshua was giving us some smiles that I managed to get on camera.  It looks like Megan has him in somewhat of a headlock (normal occurrence these days) but he really is smiling on his own - intentionally or not.
Josh went to the driving range one day and found a little set of golf clubs perfect for Megan.  Since then it has become her favorite thing to do!  I was amazed she even contacts the ball.  I can't tell you how many swings and misses I made when I first started and I was about 23!  She's gone to the driving range several times now!

Megan is constantly wanting to hold baby brother.  She does a really good job of holding him up and supporting his head.  She loves him very much!  He's a little over a month old here.
My sister Tami recently got engaged and so wedding plans are in full swing.  They are getting married November 13!  Megan was so excited to hear that she was going to be in the wedding and dress like a princess.  She was also thrilled to find out that we had to go to the store for her to try on a bunch of dresses.  I told her that she might be able to wear a little make up on the big day and so when we were getting ready to go to the dress store, she thought she needed some then too.  She got a little blush, pink eyeshadow, lip gloss and even mascara.  When I saw this picture, it made me think of those poor little pageant girls, the next one is a little more natural looking!

 5 Weeks Old
Megan's first day of the new school year!  She was a little sad to find out she wouldn't be going to the "big kid school" but happy to be back at Lizzy's preschool with all of her friends.
 5 1/2 Weeks Old....bathtime!

This was right after she released the headlock....
6 Weeks Old and another bathtime.  He apparently loves when I was his hair because he smiles and cooes at me.  That's why the camera is always out to catch it.  Not this time though!
Josh and I got to go on a date on Friday night.  It's always nice to have alone time together but it probably wasn't the most exciting time for him.  We had to make a couple of stops looking for wedding shoes...but then it was margarita time at Chevy's!
This was about 3 minutes before the Duck gear got ruined by baby puke on Oregon @ ASU game day!
 Cute little guy.

Welcome back to the blogosphere! I love all the pictures - Megan looks so adorable with Joshua. (And you look like one hot momma in your date night picture!)
