Touring the Tundra

Yesterday we took a drive out onto the tundra.  Karen and Vern live about 70 feet above sea level and we drove up to about 1200 feet.  Here is Megan hanging by her Carhartts.  Daddy thinks it's a great handle.
Here is a musk ox that we saw shortly into our drive.  There were about 10 eating and sleeping not too far from the road.
Here is a beautiful view of the mountains looking N/NE.
This is called a White Alice Site.  You can see them from town and they look really far away but it didn't take long to get there.  They look alien almost.  These sites were built in the 50s for military and some civilian communication systems.
